Sri S.V.L.Narasimham

He is a reputed Senior Advocate and belongs to Guntur. In 1930s, he led the Trade Union of Krishna Cement Company as its President. In 1952, when Mangalagiri Assembly segment was a part of Guntur Parliamentary constituency, he contested as an Independent candidate and won by a majority of 1,03,126 votes. He died in Guntur.

Sri Kottha Raghuramaiah

He belonged to Jagarlamudi village. He participated in the independence movement. He completed his Bar-at-Law in London and practiced during the years 1937-41 in Madras. When Mangalagiri Assembly segment was a part of Guntur Parliamentary constituency, he was elected in 1957, 1962, 1967 and 1971 elections, representing Congress party. He was the Central Minister in many occasions. He was the first MP representing Mangalagiri segment, who served as the Minister in Central Cabinet. He was born on 6-7-1912 and died on 5-6-1979.

Dr.Ummareddy Venkateswarlu

He was born in Kondubatlavari palem of Bapatla Mandal in 1937. He was awarded with Doctorate in Agriculture. Basically he is an Academician and served in the capacity of Professor in Bapatla Agriculture college for 27 years. Accepting the invitation of NTR, Dr. Umma Reddy joined Telugu Desam Party. In 1991 and 1999, he was elected as MP from Tenali Parliamentary Constituency representing TDP. In 1996, he served in the Central Cabinet as Minister for Urban Development, Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs. With the efforts and commitment of Dr. Ummareddy, the Krishna Water Project and Temple Ghat Road were realized. He also contributed huge amounts of Local Development Funds from MP Grants to this town.

Sri Vallabhaneni Balasouri

He was an old student of A.T.P.M. High School, Pedavadlapudi. He was a resident-student there upto 10th class. He was an Industrialist. He was the Director for Loyola Engineering College, Sattenapalli. In 2004 elections, he contested from Tenali Parliamentary Elections and won with a majority of 78,556 votes representing Congress party. He is one of the young M.P.s in India.



Sri Rayapati Sambasivarao

Rayapati Sambasiva Rao was born in Unguturu (Guntur District) on 07-June-1943 to Sri Venkata Ranga Rao and Srimathi Seetha Ramamma. He was elected as MP from Guntur in 1996, 1998, 2004 and 2009 elections. In reorganization of constituencies in 2008, Mangalagiri came under Guntur Parliament Constituency. He is the Founder of Educational Institutions like RVR & JC College of Engineering, Law and Education in Guntur. He received President of India Award for outstanding exporter during 1992-93 (Tobacco).
